AMNESTY WEEK!
Bring in Your Overdue Library Books
AND
a can of Human Food and Don’t Pay No Overdue Fines!
(this is bad grammar, we know it is bad grammar- it’s a jokey sort of grammar)
From December 17 to December 21, 2007, you can bring a can of food to the library, along with any overdue materials, and we will waive your outstanding fine (see fine print below).
Fine Print Below
Rules
- The can must be not opened, not-partially eaten, and contain non-perishable, tasty and nutritious food for humans.
- The overdue books must belong to the PNCA Library and not any other library.
- We can only offer amnesty for outstanding fines that are currently on your library record. We are unable to waive fines that have already been cleared off your library record and sent to the business office and billed to you.
- Because when you think about it- where would we stop if we did that? We’d have alumni from years ago coming in with some canned corn and wanting that 25 cents back that they paid back in ‘72.
- If you are going to be using the Food Bank yourself, it is a win-win because you could, at least in theory, donate the can of Human Food, get your late outstanding current late fine that is still on your record and not already sent to the business office and billed to you waived, and then go to the Food Bank later and get the canned corn back! The cycle of life! Join it. Live it. Be it. PNCA.
